Stewarts
of Stirling was founded in the historic Scottish town of Stirling
as an independent supplier of the very best in Scottish cashmere
knitwear.
For
many decades, Scottish knitwear has held the enviable position of
being the finest in the world. This has been achieved by the high
standards of craftmanship and skill handed down through generations,
the inovative and modern styling and design, the quality of the
yarns, and of course the clear and soft waters of Scotland’s rivers.
Unlike
many of our competitors we will not compromise on quality to lower
the price, and by using only the cream of Scottish knitwear manufacturers
such as John Laing, N.Peal, Pringle, Ballantyne, Hodgson, Peter
Scott and Glenmac, we are able to supply the very best that the
Scottish knitwear industry produces.
Our
knitwear collections encompass a broad range of fine yarns from
lambswool, Shetland, worsted, geelong, merino, angora and the most
luxurious cashmere in both classic and fully fashioned styles. These
are all produced to the high standard that we and our customers
expect.
In
1997 Stewarts of Stirling was one of the first retailers to receive
the Scottish Quality Retailer award as a mark of its outstanding
high standards of service and merchandise.
